will you please be kind enough to reappoint Miss Annie Pettit as Teacher of Freedmens School as Millican Texas, 

She tells me that her time expired the last of this month. 

Miss Annie deserves credit for the perseverance she has used in her school. She has built it up to the No of twenty five or thirty scholars and has advanced them very fast. She has conducted her self well, and I desire to be encouraged,
