Rev Jos Welch
My Dear Sir
The school at Watrousville (as you will see by my report) is my small, if it were not for an occasional law fee, I could not make enough to pay boarding- cotton picking, sickness, hot weather, a protracted meeting, sometimes lasting all night, seldom commencing before nine oclock P.M. all conspire to keep scholars from attending- wouldn't you send the draft for house rent to me, if Oliver Watrous gets hold of them, it is the last of it he owes me $16. for teaching last trimester while I shall never get
Would you inform me when I can get a copy of those notes on the Gospel
Your most obedient Servant
George. W. Schobey
