Huntsville, Tex.
March 29 1869

Mr. Haughn,
Asst. Supdt. Public Schools
Nacogdoches, Tex.

Sir:
Herewith is transmitted to you monthly report of school at Huntsville: a free school would be largely attended. It is next to impossible to collect for tuition: The colored people are scarcely able to purchase books or necessary scholastics:
We have no black board, no charts, no maps, a very good school house, not paid for:
Please forward my name to the Supdt. at once as I desire to be on the list at Austin as soon as possible.
I am sir
with respect
Geo. B Webber
