Dear Mr. Elmiger:

Before leaving last Friday I called up your office as I wanted to say "au revoir", but to my chagrin I was told that you were out for the day.

I therefore resort to this letter to thank you for your courtesies and particularly to tell you again how sorry I had been about the mishap regarding our date of departure.

May I also by the same token ask you to be good enough to reserve a room with bath for next spring from May 15 to July 3, which I hope you will find it possible to do.

Looking forward to hearing from you and with best regards,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
