My dear Trevor:
Pardon my not answering your telegram sooner but, with Quest away, I have been too busy.

The Chinnery is hung and conditions look very favorable. On April 26th you sent me a consignment bill for this picture for $1200, which would make it $960.00, with our twenty per cent off, so I was rather amused when you wired that I might have it for a thousand dollars as a special price. Evidently there is some confusion in your office, which I wish you would correct.

I am sorry to bother you so much over so small a matter, but, as I advised you, this picture is on sale with several others, and therefore, I have to figure very closely on the price for the lot.

When are you sailing? I hope to sail on the Paris on the 26th of June, and look forward to seeing you in Paris.

With my kindest greetings,
Yours sincerely,
Chester H Johnson
