410 South Michigan Ave.,
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Johnson,
Just a line to tell you that the VESTIER has arrived back here safely.

I hope you will not think we have worried you too much about this painting, but as I explained to you in my previous letter, we were very anxious to get it back in the event of your not having placed it, as we have a client for it here.

Anyhow, we wish you better luck next time, and assuring you of our desire at all times to co-operate with you, and with my kindest regards to you both, believe me to be

Yours sincerely,

P.S.--We are herewith enclosing you a photograph of the little CORNEILLE de Lyon which you were looking at. As I told you, our asking price for it is Seven Thousand ($7,000) Dollars, subject, of course, to the usual discount.
