CMH/M April 12th, 1935. Dear Mrs. Jonas, It was a pleasure to show you such a unique group of Degas sculpture as I know that you will not be able to see anywhere. As per your desire, I am having delivered to your house today the give bronzes which you selected. May I insist upon you to avail yourself of the opportunity offered you to acquire at exceedingly how prices such fine works. In the event that bronzes by Degas were found and purchased in Europe, the duty one would have to pay on them is extremely high and consequently makes the prices very much higher than the ones I have quoted you. I hope that you will therefore decide to keep the five bronzes, which form a complete little collection by themselves, and looking forward to seeing you on Monday, Please believe me to be Yours respectfully, (C.M. de Hauke) Mrs. Edouard Jonas, 998 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York.
