Dear Mrs. Kelly,

I have just returned from Europe and have brought back with me a number of very interesting works of art including paintings and fine old French furniture. Among the paintings is one of the most important portraits by Sir Thomas LAWRENCE that has ever come to this country and which I should very much like you to see, and in the furniture, there is a set of six Louis XVI armchairs covered with beautiful Beauvais tapestry and on original frames. There is also a very fine pair of small Louis XV commodes which it occurred to me you might be able to use.

Anyhow, I hope you will have time to call in here one day as it would give me the greatest of pleasure to show you these things.

In the meanwhile with my kind regards to Mr. Kelly and yourself, believe me to be

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Cornelius F. Kelly,
