Dear Mr. Lewisohn,

I just received a letter from our Paris office asking
me to communicate with you.

They had the visit of Mrs. Roll who is having an ex-
hibition at the Petit Palais under the patronage of the City
of Paris of the works of her husband. She is very anxious to
have for that exhibition the painting called "La Maternité".
In case you will be kind enough to lend this picture, will
you let us know at what price you would like to have it in-
sured.

Mrs. Roll wishes me to emphasize to you that this is
the only picture which she is borrowing from an American col-
lection.

I take advantage of this letter to tell you how much
Mrs. Seligmann and myself enjoyed seeing your wonderful col-
lection.

With best regards, kindly believe me to be

Yours very truly,
