Dear Mrs. Luce:

Though your interests are many and your days consequently all too short, I do hope you will find time to see the superb exhibition I am now holding of illuminated religious manuscripts, before it closes on December 6th.

Scholars and critics to whom these works have formerly been known only by reproduction or reputation, have been astounded by the condition, freshness of color, and beauty of these great achievements, dating from the year 1000.

It would indeed be a pleasure to welcome you here, and should you not already have seen it, you may enjoy reading the attached review by Aline Loucheim [[Louchheim]] of the New York Times.

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligmann)
