Dear Mr. Lynch-Staunton:

Our "Master Drawings" Exhibition being just over, my Firm is shipping momentarily to you the small painting by

Francesco GUARDI - "Man in Oriental Costume" $9,000
(NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS)

And the drawing:

Eugene AMAURY-DUVAL - "Portrait d'Homme en Pied" $1,500
(ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS)

These two works of art remain insured by my firm in transit and while in your custody, and I hope that they will both reach you safely.

As per your instructions, they are addressed to Messrs. Thompson, Ahern & Co., Customs Brokers, and copy of our letter to them is enclosed, for your information.

May I take advantage of these lines to tell you anew how much Mrs. Seligman and I enjoyed Mrs. Lynch-Staunton's and your visit, and how we were both delighted with the lovely anemones.

Will you be good enough to convey my respects to Mrs. Lynch-Staunton and with best personal regards, I am,

Sincerely yours,
Germain Seligman
