New York 22, New York November 27, 1964 Dear Mr. Lynch-Staunton: Our "Master Drawings" Exhibition being just over, my Firm is shipping momentarily to you the small painting by Francesco GUARDI - "Man in Oriental Costume" $9,000 (NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS) And the drawing: Eugene AMAURY-DUVAL - "Portrait d'Homme en Pied" $1,500 (ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS) These two works of art remain insured by my firm in transit and while in your custody, and I hope that they will both reach you safely. As per your instructions, they are addressed to Messrs. Thompson, Ahern & Co., Customs Brokers, and copy of our letter to them is enclosed, for your information. May I take advantage of these lines to tell you anew how much Mrs. Seligman and I enjoyed Mrs. Lynch-Staunton's and your visit, and how we were both delighted with the lovely anemones.
