Dear Mr. Lynch-Staunton:

Your kind letter of November 27th made me quite happy, and relieved me greatly. For such works of art are so delicate, that in spite of the very best packing there is always a risk involved.

You are perfectly correct in assuming that my Firm is keeping its insurance on this lovely marble. It is only as title passes on to you, that is after you will have been billed, that our insurance will lapse. This should give you full reassurance.

Do convey my respects to Mrs. Lynch-Staunton, and with best personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

GERMAIN SELIGMAN
