Prof. August L. Mayer
Alto Pinakothek
Munich

My dear Professor Mayer,-

Thanks ever so much for your linea of December 25th, and for the information you give me about the Poblet carving as well as for the possible interest of Mr. Luis Plandiura, of Barcelona, in this work of art. I am sending him by same mail a photo of this bas-relief, for which we are asking the very low price of $12,000, also a letter copy of which I am sending you herewith. I was so pleased to hear that he was so satisfied with his purchase from us of this tryptique.

I am also sending you under separate cover photograph of the Luna stone Virgin which you saw here last year, and also of a wooden carving that we have here also. I have not written about these two items to Dr. Plandiurac if you think they might interest him, you can do so. The price we are asking for them is $18.000 for the stone Virgin, and $9,000 for the wooden statue.

My stay here will not exceed another period of four weeks; this is the maximum so that if you wish to, you can send me your answer to Paris.

Hoping that you are enjoying good health, pray believe me,

Yours sincerely,

P.S. The wooden statue is under the old polychromie and the latter is in exceptionally good condition, relieved with gold with beautiful reds.
