I am perfectly willing to make the reports that are required of me by the Supt. And as you very kindly invited my attention to the indorsement of Mr. Wheelock I shall endeavor to defend myself with regard to the remarks he has made. He says that Lt. Gardner informed him that the statement I made with regard to my expences here and income from my school was not correct. If the Lt. has done so he did it from mere supposition as he knew nothing about my affairs. He knew that I paid twenty dollars a month for board. This is not all my expences.
