Millican Brokers Co July 5th 1866

To E.M. Wheelock Esq'

Dear Sir. Your Circular and Blanks came to hand yesterday an in answer to it, I will state the June report was mailed here on the 2nd of this month which will explain why there was no May report. I will also add here that since I made out my June report I have been told that on three plantations their is a pupil of mine that makes a practice of teaching the children at night and that is the reason why no more attends school will you inform me how I shall proceed in that case. And what course I must pursue at the end of the school term to receive my pay, because some has said they did not intend to pay for only two months and others they did not intend to pay anything because they have never been to school. My school articles calls for 27 Day Scholars and 33 Saturday Afternoon Scholars. My Price of Tuition was $150.00 per month per scholar, for Day scholars, and 50.00 per month for Saturdays which I think was reasonable enough. Will you please drop me a few lines on the subject to read to them, by so doing you will much oblige.

Very Respectfully
Your Obt Svt
