Capt Geo. W. Honey

Sir
I herewith submit my monthly for April
There has been a great deal of rain during the past month which has caused the loss of several days all for want of a house I was compelled to dismiss school whenever it rained attall hard for rain house the came through the top and under at the same time until the floor was a pool all over. The new house has never been finished There has been a loss of interest in the school owing entirely to your failure to release Armstead for an assistant- You and Dr Farner have completely been out Generaled by Col Wilson, so much for having been a great slave holder Col W. came to the school house and ordered Armstead home and told him the Bureau has nothing to with him (W) But I have reported this to you three times before and to Dr Farner The hindrances mostly are from wealth men throwing in a low and partly concealed opposition The best remedies for the hindrances in this county would be personal presence of an Officer and addresses to the Freedmen every month or two months at the outside I think it really necessary you should come soon
Respectfully submitted
