Sir: I can sugest nothing more. I did expect to have seen you before you left, but was not advised of your leaving. Mr Wealsh & wife as I understand passed through here. But did not think worth while to advise me of the fact. The House has been demanded. The rent raised to $15 per month. I have not had any School this mo. and do not intend to have untill I have a better house.

The 4th went of joyfully with the Freedmen. The school children made A fine appearance costume Red, White, & Blue. But without my Permission they returned from Dinner ground at about 11 Oclock Over run the town. Singing.
