Dear Sir:
I the the pleasure to inform you that they school here is progressing very finely indeed. Some are now out at this busy time employed in harvesting. But they will soon return. I have not done so well yet as I shall after they have completed their house, will I assist in paying the rent of the one we now occupy which belongs to Mr James Harris & who by the way is very friendly to the school. And rented us his house when we could get none of anyone else. I really wish you would exert all the influence you have in your power over Gen Kidoll to secure the appointment of this gentleman as the Sub Agent of the Freedmans Bureau for this county. I have no words
