In compliance with orders I write these
few lines though nothing of importance has transpired since my last report. My school has increased greatly and my pupils are progressing as rapidly as can be expected. We are in need of eight
desks, two teacher's desks, two black-boards and charts. There is a school about seven miles from here on the plantation of Capt Adams. I am not acquainted with the name of the lady and I cannot tell the number of pupils in her school but I will try and give a correct account of it in my next report

Very Respectfully
Ella and Mary Smith
