12. What efforts are you making to secure the support of schools by pupils, parents, boards of education, or the State government? 
I have made no exertions of late, to organize Freedmens Schools, as it would be useless without searching to fill them,

13. Whole number of additional School-houses, for Freedmen, now wanted in your Sub-District? To properly supply the [[strikethrough]] greatest [[/strikethrough]] deficient localities, three, would be Require [[strikethrough]] d [[/strikethrough]],.

14. Could you organize your Sub-District into School Districts, each with a School Committee pledged to carry on schools therein? 
I think the Districts-& committee, could be formed,

15. To what extent would help from without be needed in such cases? 
The colored people comparatively, are able to pay but little,

16. What is the public sentiment as to the education of the Freedmen and Poor Whites?
There is no particular, general feeling, known in opposition, Education is favored by those, in general, whose opinion is of value a large number, tho have doubts-of the possibility to educate Black people,

17. Are Night-Schools for Adults needed in your District? [blank] In what way could they be carried on? 
The ignorance in general- of the people lately held in slavery, is deplorable. Having but little knowledge but their own limited experience. Uniformed in the laws, "and in general business affairs." " Instruction is greatly needed.

18. What more can this Bureau do for educating the children of Refugees (or Poor Whites)?
If Teachers, & Funds to pay them could be furnished, it would probably do much good. Good crops may be raised this year, which will render the colored people more able to pay teachers.

19. How long will Northern charitable aid be needed for Freedmen and Refugee Schools of your District? " assistance, will be needed, until there is a feeling among the southern people favorable, in general, to education, I [[strikethrough]] until the [[/strikethrough]] dormant mind o the colored man, realizes the need of an education, & to be elevated labor ignorance",
