Captain  Dear Sir I have taken up School in grims per [[rise?]] for the freedman of that part of the County I taken their word for the two ishion of the Scholars thay promist to pay mea the 20 of Sept I wish to know wither you will tolerat this cours or not it may truble mea Som about collecting mony from them Thay all have fine corn & cotton cropes & air able to pay mea far teaching School for them but the freedman generalley when thay get it man to do any thing for them on time.  thay never think of paying far what thay git doon for them.
