1. Amount of Tuition paid during the month, Nothing

2. Remarks.
The great overflow of the Colorado has caused a great reduction in the number of my pupils this month. the most of the freedmen having lost all their cotton, corn, & potatoes, as well as their stocks of hogs and in some instances, horses, & mules, are unable to pay tuition. most that I have labored for since the first of January will be a total loss, The only way to have the schools continued, will be free, to those, that cannot pay. and an increase of salary to the teachers. There is a great deal of sickness & distress prevailing in this vicinity, and they are much in need of assistance. I am suffering with the chills myself. I am out of blank Reports & vouchers

Respectfully
George W. Hanna
