Dear Sir:
through the kindness of the District Clerk of your County, I have been informed that you are engaged in Teaching a Freedmen's school. I enclose herewith a blank report, which please fill out & forward to this office. It is desirable to get as much, in the way of statistics as possible. If the Bureau, does not close as is contemplated, the appropriation, extending only to July 1st I shall visit your section, with a view of giving schools aid. At present it is doubtful. The new Supt. of State Schools has been rejected. It is to be hoped, that your schools will soon get into
