R.F&A.L State of N.C Raleigh, N.C Lieutenant I have the honor to state that the following persons have applied at this Office. Stating that they have been unable to obtain their wages for Labor in 1867 on the Columbia & Augusta Rail Road. Office of the Company at Columbia S.C Viz P Schitte White $53.60 Perry Canster Colored $24.13 Moses Ship Colored $13.60 = Capt H. S. Odell formerly in the employ of this Company states that the first two names are entered on the 3rd Pay Roll for December 1867, and that he forwarded the receipts of those two men to C H Manson Treasurer Febry 25" 1868, but they have not yet received their money. And that the amount due Moses Ship is in a book account, entered by mistake in the name of Taylor Fumerer, I respectfully request that an effort be made to collect this money for these men, through the Bureau R.F&A.L.
