I trust that this letter will be a sufficient warning to you, and that you will stop carrying a pistol, and conduct yourself properly. The Bureau can not do any thing for you if you violate the Military Orders. And if you persist in doing so, you will have to suffer the consequences, I have written to Mr. Jo. Graham that if you did not stop carrying a Pistol to prefer charges against you, and send them to the Commanding Officer of the Military Post of Morganton N.C. with a request that you be tried by the Military Authorities for violating the Military Orders.

You will see by the inclosed papers that Bvt. Colonel W. R. Royal Commanding Post of Morganton NC, has given judgement in the case of James Rhyne (colored) Versus W.R. Lockart, in favor of James Rhyne for the balance due him on one barrel of Whiskey, and that you are authorized to collect the same, and your fees for doing so,

and if necessary to sell in the usual way a sufficient amount of property belonging to WR Lockart not exempt from execution by General Orders No 164 Dated Head Quarters 2d Mil. Dist. Charleston S.C. December 31" 1867, as will satisfy the judgement including your accustomed fees. The inclosed papers to be returned to this office with a report of your action in this case.
