I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 21st inst. authorizing an expenditure of fifty (50) dollars to repair the Freedmens School house at this place. I will immediately place your letter before the school committe, and inform the same that repairs to the extent of $50- will be assumed by the Bureau,

Sir,
I have the honor to State that the Asst Commissioner under date of the 21st inst inform this officer that the Superintendent of Education has been directed to expend Fifty ($50) dollars for repairs upon the School house in Lincolnton. I therefore inclose herewith a Voucher for the amount, which I presume you require before the same can be sent, if the vouchers are not properly made please return the same with instructions how they should be made,
