Supt of Education Raleigh N.C Sir Will you please make enquiry in Raleigh if a Stove can be bought suitable for having the School house at this place, and let me know the price also price of thirty feet of pipe with two elbows, You may hear of a good Second hand Store that will answer. Col Johnston may possibly know of one. We want as large as one as we can find. Genl Office dated Washington D.C. Feby 4 1868, the other from Chf Qr Mr Office 2d Mil Dist, N & S Carolina dated Charleston S.C. Feby 19" 1868. in relation to accounts of Amelia Brown Fannie Brown and 121 George Richards (all colored) for attendance &c in a Military Commission convened at Salisbury N.C. as witnesses in November 1865. The above named persons respectfully request that efforts be made through the Agency of the Bureau to procure the payment of their accounts. Fannie Brown is George Richards wife and Amelia Brown is his daughter by his wife Fannie Brown. They all reside in Lincolnton N.C. and request when the accounts are settled to send the check in the care of L.P. Sherrill the Clerk of the Superior Court of the County of Lincoln North Carolina.
