Dear Doris

We are having very sunny days though cold.it is very icy going the street are made more slippery from children coasting. I watched when they were going down hill on their double summer sleds after undressing, the moon made it light as day. it certainly was an interesting night! so on this street the autoes have to go very slow they have hard work to climb up the street & in Brockton the [[they]] have had to sand the streets they are so icy. there has been lots of accidents this winter.

Mrs Barry has just called up Myrtie on the phone, it seems Alice has had to lose one week of teaching school, on account of a cold & it affected her signo trouble. She said she was was darn mad (Myrtie) one of her neighbors had called to see them. I guess being a soldier they had not seen him for a long time & as she stood by the stone warming his coat and waiting for him to put it on. Alices darn dog ran barking between her legs and threw her down on the floor & lamed her so she couldn't move. it broke no bones fortunately but she was lucky there it didn't. Alice, Myrtie says worships him. but we know he is ugly & bites lots of people.
