I went out the front door & found your bundle hung on the nail where we put our letters that are to large to go through the slot. I have stitched the goods and made you a slip out of the cloth I had left after making Doris slips. so guess you have underclothes enough to last you both for some time. 

The radio said we were to have another snow storm late to night, or sometime tomorrow. so we seem to have a plenty of winter this month. the snow is so deep that no one can come in the back way of the roads are so slippery from children coasting that its very dangerous driving or walking. We hope winter will go out early this year. 

The Ballantines have got another roomer in place of the one who has gone. they also get eight dollars for his room. he is well acquainted with their other two roomers but Addie dont like him as well- they seem lucky let us hope its appreciated. 

Is your coal holding out I hope so. & hope you dont have our icy roads to drive so far to work. 

Saturday when we called up Perdigao he had no meat of any kind but said he would look out for us. so when he came he brought us a leg of lamb, some salt pork beef for enoug meat balls for our Sunday dinner, onions spinnage &  a package of olio margarine. so he gave us the bushel basket he brought them in. we fair well & always trade with them. the same with Murphy. he gives us oil when he has it (old customers)
