I find that little begonia that Bertha Upham gave me that it had a little bud in the top & branches coming up out of every leaf. it should be repotted before the ground freezes too hard to get some rich soil. my poinsettas [[poinsettias]] are also budded & my lobster cacktus [[cactus]] is full of buds one in every leaf. so later on, there will be plenty of flowers in my windows. I carry my begonias into the sun from one room into the other, so they can get all the sun we have. I take lots of comfort with my flowers.

Do you know the day the Railway express called to take my Xmas box away. he brought me yours. that was last Thursday & Mrs Barry sent hers to her sisters out in Ohio. Josaphine always sends us a nice present, so I sent her a nice collar in the box this year. something I had in the house sent to me last year. I knew she would send something to me this year as usual.

I have just made up my fire in the stove in the sitting room, as it is after three O'clock in the after noon & the sun will be going down early. we think everything of our little stove. our oil goes on towards morning & we have plenty of coal. Murphy looks out for us always these days & tells us not to worry. we know what that means. hope you are all well & keeping warm love Ma.
