Stoughton Dec 6th 1944

Dear Doris

it is the loveliest warm & pleasant day we have had this month. Yesterday was warm but to day is much better. She went to Brockton to finish buying her Xmas presents & I was busy doing up my box, so now I am going to send it along by Railway Express, as soon as I can get him up to take it away. Most of my presents are home made as long as I cant go to get them. The street she says are crowded with customers & its [[it's]] hard to get waited on. She took advantage of the nice day.

Little Rodger Swanson sent me up a nice lot of Macintosh Red apples. His father was giving them away right & left so he said I am going to send some to Wes Holmes so his mother bought up a bag full to choir rehearsal last Friday night they raise them on their tree down Jay Street the house near one cemetery. On the same streets with the Cobbs. 

I hare been quite busy serving on my machine lately & most of my presents were home made ones but guess they will come in handy as they were much needed by you all. I am now making Mrs Barry a
