warm hood to wear nights, out of some pink flannel that Mrs Harrington gave me when she lived up at out house in the hotel neighborhood the moths had eaten holes in so there was some pink embroidery she gave me with other things lots of such pieces she used to give me. I wonder where she is now. we never hear from her since she sold the house & got a divorce from him. we liked him he gave us lots of rides. she ought never to have married him. she was too ambitious & they were never fitted for each other.

I think the roomer over to Ballantines has left, as we dont see his room lighted any more. it was lots of company to look over there and see him he never pulled down his curtain. now she can have his room to sleep in. it was certainly worth eight dollars a week. they were lucky but dont know if their other roomers are good to them. They dont seem to sell their place hope they dont its so near us it would make a great deal of difference to us who was living there. hope you have got a chance to rest up after your Xmas shopping of course it was hard for you with all your other chores. hope you get lots of presents. love Ma
