it wasn't Susie Webster. she dont make thing for parties since she was sick. just candy & ice cream occasionally. I had a letter from Lena which I am sending along for you to read. I must write to her this week she must feel lonely as most all her old friends have passed on. thats [[that's]] the worst of growing old.

Addies [[Addie's]] folks are having George Ring and his wife out for Thanksgiving. their roomer pays $8. for his room. we dont hear anything about selling their house these days. I guess they want too much money for it. as they have had several applicants for it. the Rings got a big price for theirs & received cash down. happened to stick the right one & she was rich. now is the time to sell, houses are in great demand we hear.

Our snow came Tuesday night & all day Wednesday but the rain of last night took most of it away. we had a terriffic [[terrific]] gale all that night & all day yesterday most as bad as the hurrycane [[hurricane]]a few weeks ago. I was mighty glad we had on our storm windows & those two outside doors.

I hope Doris didn't take cold that early morning she went fishing with Dolores & her brother. I finished those nighties this morning. I have just made up a little coal fire in the little stove in the sitting room & Mrs Barry is making some fudge so we mean to have something good to chew on today. hope you are having a good day at your house. hope you get this letter by Tuesday love Ma.
