Dear Doris

This is a pleasant Sunday after our storm of Friday & cloudy day Saturday, it cleared off cool down to 40°. this morning windy & my washing day the clothes are sure to dry.

We have just had our Sunday dinner Salt fish, cold slaw, toasted bread, & baked indian pudding. we had some oysters but I preferred the cod fish on toasted bread.

The wind has blown away the leaves from our dooryard, which is one good thing. the oaks have not fallen yet, so there will be plenty left to clutter up the yard.

I was looking over my old letters and came accross [[across]] a bulky letter & on opening it I found those pictures you sent home that I had not returned to you. so will send them in this letter. I surely forgot to return them to you they are good. I think mine spoils the lot
