Doris is especially good taken under the old tree, over to the old place & yours sitting in the chair beside me very good.

Dont think of sending any bath robe for we have each of us one & my heavy one is quite enough for me & the other one she wears mornings is also sufficient. those knee caps you spoke of I dont want, my knees are never cold they are well covered up under my long drawers daytimes & nights are also well-protected by my double nightie. you remember you sent so dont worry. I hope this year xmas presents will not be sent by you so much as you have done in years gone by. money is scarce with people, the cost of living is as much as anyone can afford, so dont do it except for your own family there at home. I am not making them this year, just your clothes stitching up. the dormer flannel came but the bundle was terribly torn up. it was all there but box & paper it was in was just hung together by the string. paper is scarce we save our paper & put it out for them to collect in the street love Ma
