Dear Doris

Our first snow storm didn't ammount to much it went off with rain before morning & so goes the rest the next day was very pleasant but cold.

I went down & voted & that didn't ammount [[amount]] to much either. I only cast one vote for a Democrat & that was for Governer [[Governor]] Tobin & he was elected. I like his looks, his picture came out in the paper.

It was the wrong time to change. if it had been after the war, it would not made so much difference. Roosevelt gets along with foreign nations, thats [[tjhat's]] the only thing that consoles us. Russia & Joseph Stalin are difficult problems to deal with. also Churchill is for him, so let us hope everything may come out all right. he
