We woke up this morning & found it snowing. our first snow & pretty cold. ground is white with snow temperature 40°

Dear Doris

Another pleasant Sunday, it cleared this morning so I decided to take advantage of it to do my washing after taking my bath. its [[it's]] a little cooler to day [[today]], but after the sun came out it seemed all right. the weather report said rain but it does not always hit it right. She has been to church to day [[today]] & we had oyster stew for our dinner with tomatoes & rice pudding the desert. she got a pot roast for the weeks dinners & cooked it yesterday very tender. she made a washington pie with chocolate filling & to go on top, the same as we had when you were home. that was very good, we shall have that to eat during the week.

The little begonia you gave me is doing well, & take lots of comfort with it as it is loaded down with blossoms & it grows all the time. I keep it in the front room where it gets all the morning sun & part of the afternoon also. it is a young plant & seems
