them away down street but they were pretty well tied up into bundles but the wind has blown a gale all night & so far to day [[today]] but think now its [[it's]] sort of going down some.

I went out on the porch after eating my breakfast & saw a huge boquet [[bouquet]] of chrysanthemums of all shades, lay there on the couch it was a mystery where they came from. we were both up but the door was locked. so she called up the Ballantines & Gertrude answered & she said she saw George Mc'Garvey picking a lot of them in his garden & Mary was over there helping him. but drove off in his car for the rest of the day. So guess he must have been the one. she hopes he had left some with them. they have got another roomer who pays them 8 dollars a week for just a room he is an inspector of business facilities & Mrs Ballantine has given up her room & sleeps on a cot bed down stairs [[downstairs]]. he is going to be there tree months sure & perhaps six months. he came well recommended & gets there sometimes around midnight & leaves at 6 O'clock in the morning. they are still advertizing [[advertising]] their house to sell. its [[it's]] too hard for Addie to keep clean they will go up to their old place on Washington Street to live where they have an old house they let now & they moved from to come here to live. Love Ma
