Dear Doris

The day is very sunny after the rain of yesterday. it cleared during the night. 

I have done my weekly wash and the clothes are dried ready to take in from the line. She has just returned from church where the choir did fine, everything turned out all right. 

We are going to have our dinner now of lamb forequarter baked & potatoes, carrots, & cauliflower & tapioca cream for desert [[dessert]].

We think Bill may come tonight, so had a good treat for him by way of food she made a good Washington pie & frosted it with white & filled with grape jelly. she told Laura how to do those grapes & so they made some & put in nuts & orange beside, they think its [[it's]] fine. hope you hear from yours but you haven't yet have you?

Those pajamas I have made for Doris I finished yesterday & was glad to have something to do for it was a cold stormy day & I had something to take up my mind so did not think so much about the weather. I was wondering if she needed
