them or had a change. otherwise I would not mind sending them along.

I was up stairs [[upstairs]] yesterday and in the front chamber closet found a slip you had never worn & had not carried down home with you. have you got plenty of them? there is some cloth left if you need any more.

I was watering my plants this morning & thought of that plant food you sent as I had not repotted my plants for so long I thought of trying the Vigoro so then followed the directions on the package. the begonia you got up at Lauries [[Laurie's]] dont [[don't]] need any fertilizing it looks fine. but the other one Bertha sent does. it grows & looks better than it did though.

The day we went with Charley up to the old Holbrook house; I enjoyed very much, there was nothing about the house that looked natural, but the house had been fixed up so well, that it was far better. the windows had been put in the chambers so the air could come in from the South. otherwise those sleeping rooms must have been terrible hot in the summertime. I dont [[don't]] wonder they lost their second baby there. all of my brothers [[brother's]] children were born there. well hope this finds you rested & well love ma
