Stoughton October 11th 1944

Dear Doris

We are having nice cool & sunny days. it rained a little during the night + was foggy in the early morning. not much air so the stove in the kitchen smoaked a little when she made the fire. she is much pleased because she can make the fire in the morning. 

Last night we had to call up Clayton Hinds to fix our radios. we got him here early in the evening, & he said by saving the tube he had no trouble in fixing it very easily. otherwise he would have had to send down to Washington to replace it as it was of a kind they couldn't get around here.

The frosts seem to stay away from here I guess it goes on the low places. Addie has not taken in her plants in the box mine were taken in
