We have just had our dinner of the remains of a beef stew & the last of the baked beans with stewed tomatoes. for desert we had a chocolate pudding made of gelatine. it was an easy dinner to get, she being late. (communion Sunday) but it tasted good. I must now change my dress for we may have company seeing its pleasant to day, with a cold wind to the North West. Addie says they are anxious to sell their house & has put ads in all the papers. they think this one is too hard to heart. now is the time to sell it. Careta has sold her two houses here in town & will be sorry we are afraid they own the one in Wellesley Hills   Ma

Dear Doris,

This is a cool morning our heat went on after we got up but as soon as the fire was built, it soon went off. My tomatoes are ripening slowly. I bring them in as soon as they begin to ripen & put them in the closet beside the kitchen stove. its the heat that does the ripening.

My lawn has just been moved. I got the Leonard boy to come up and he brought up one of the Saulsbury boys and they each did the job. they had the two lawn mowers. I went down to get the Leonard boy early in the morning as there was no other way of reaching him. you would be surprised to see Melvin Leonards place, down
