Dear Doris,

We are having it cool again after a few very hot days. change in weather when the wind gets NWest.

I hope you had cool weather when Doris party was given. Mrs. Barry had her party when she met at choir rehearsal Friday night. they gave her a birthday cake, ice cream & cocoa [sic] cola also a few presents. Mrs. Swanson was the one who made her the cake it was very nice. she brought a large piece that was not eaten home & also some ginger ale.

I just enjoy this lovely cool day. I have been out watering my garden. its a hard job to carry water so far but still have managed to do so, it pays, the tomato plants are doing fairly well.

Gertrude had just been on her vacation down to Cape Cod. she got home yesterday it has been very bad weather ever since she went she is going to rest until Wednesday, before going to work.

Myrtie went to Vermont Saturday
