the hotel neighborhood. I was glad to see them once again. did you know that Heber Capen & his wife had gone up to Swans hotel to live they are old & used up. he was born in that neighborhood & is own cousin to Mary Talbot French they were very poor & lived up on the hill where Myrtie & Wallace use to live. the children had scarlet fever & two died. it was when Heber Chase taught school there. he helped them & gave them money so they gave the newborn baby his name. I can just remember it.

I had my back lawn mowed yesterday the front one is dried up the boys came & so I let them mow in back under the trees. we had been over to the barn hunting over her things in the barrels & taking over some to lock up for the summer. under clothes that she doesn't need 'till cold weather. it is a great curiosity to see her thing. they came from across the water & were Mother Barries dishes, oceans of them & punch bowls one can hardly lift they are so heavy. platters with a place to hold the gravy away from the meat, also large, with their letter B. certainly they are very interesting I was well entertained & did not know what half of them were for. these things were some that didn't get sold at auction. supper time & she is coming love Ma
