Laura Gebhardt is fixing over her little house making two tenements of it, so Norma & family can come home there to live. guess she is lonesome there all alone since Norma married. & when Bill goes nights to play in the Symphony Orchestra it leaves her there all alone, so guess she is afraid. there is too much money coming in to the house to make things safe these times.

It has just clouded over & I have gone outside in time to find it has begun to sprinkle. so have taken in our clothes & hung them up so they will air over the stove. by the time she comes home, they will be bone dry & ready to iron & put away. I guess we are having our May Storm. its the last week of the month & seems like it. we never have settled weather 'till after the May Storm. then we can plant & take off our winter clothes for cooler ones. I am going to call up Turner to set out my tomato plants after he brings some fertilizer to enrich the plot he dug up for it the other day. my plants look pretty thrifty they have grown a lot since they were planted now I will end my letter & eat my supper love Ma
