Dear Mrs. Osler:

At last I have reached these shores, having gone through all the scale of different emotions which the European crisis evolved, and it feels good in fact, to be here.

Having missed you in Europe, I do hope that it won't be long before I have an opportunity of seeing you here, and as I don't plan for the time being at least, going to Canada, I count upon you to come to New York.

I have found conditions here considerable improved - I mean, of course, in terms of last Spring - and I trust that this also applies to Montreal, and as a result thereof, I believe that the art business will follow.

You may not realize it, but I am counting very much upon you to post me about artistic developments in your part of the world, as I feel definitely that with your taste and keep interest in art, and because you are quite a leader, you could incite and encourage people to collect and guide them in buying the right things.
