Dear Mr. Paul:

Hans Waegen has just told me about your Charity Ball, and, as I did last year, I am glad to enclose herewith my personal check for Sixty Dollars ($60.) as contribution to this most interesting work you are accomplishing.

As this is my personal contribution, I would like you to just have it inserted in the program as "Compliments of a Friend".

Hoping soon to have the pleasure of seeing you again,

Believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
