At the village of Piaxtla, Puebla - we obtained meals in a house of an old woman whose main treasure was a picure of Christ on the cross with Mary kneeling at its base, dressed in a voluminous bright yellow dress with large puffed sleeves of same color, a red overskirt, & brilliantly blue waist. The dress had a very large bustle and her hair was elaborately dressed all in the style of some 25 years since. 12 leagues below Acaltan Puebla begin pintos. 15 ft 10 ft 5 [[image]] [[image]] E [[image]] 10 ft 36 ft [[image]] W [[image]] [[image]] N 15 ft These lines give form of a few of the stone courses seen near Rincon on road from Chilpancingo & Acapulco guerrezo - The trail leads among them. The inside is left rough & the outside cut with a curve. These are laid on flat ground in single course & the figures are scattered irregularly about a falorn forlorne aggregate. Several germans are here & in the coffee planting business & also have the two best stores in town. ⁋Having laid in a stock of provisions we left part of our baggage here & went down to the coast to Puerto Angel where we located for some days in
