General
I exhibited my pardon from President Johnson to Bvt Major Genl R Saxton in October last, and received the following order signed by Major O D Kinsman A.A. Genl. addressed to Capt Jas P Low A.Q.M. dated October 30th, 1865.

"Satisfactory information having been received at this Office that Mr James Earle has been pardoned by the President, the General directs me to say that you will collect no more rents from him on any of his property in possession of this Bureau."

Deeming my property fully restored, I provided no further. Lately I have been informed by the Rental Agent of the Bureau, that an order from you releasing it from the Books of the Bureau is necessary. I now respectfully apply to you for the same.
