possession of his property, he called on Mr Pilsbury and told him that he wished his house and that if he would not agree to pay rent for it, he must vacate. Mr Pilsbury then told him that he could not pay full rent for the house but that he could not pay full rent for the house but that he would either pay something or vacate. In the mean while the proclamation of President Johnson was issued and Mr Pilsbury finding that I came under the thirteenth clause of the fourteen exceptions, he refused to either pay anything or to vacate the premises.
That as, he has taken both the oath issued by President Lincoln send the Amnesty Oath of President Johnson. That as he has applied for pardon and his application has been approved by Governor Perry, prov. Governor of the state aforesaid, and as he has paid the taxes due on said House and Lot, and as he has never engaged either in arms or otherwise in aiding or encouraging the Rebellion, he would respectfully apply to Commissioner of the Bureau of R.F. & A.L. for the immediate return of said property sufficient time being allowed Mr Pilsbury to remove.
